What?

The U bylinek (“Chez Herbes”) is an about hundred years old house which we reconstructed according to our dreams and ideas so as to live here as comfortable as modern man needs.

Where?

The house is located in the centre of the town Suchdol nad Lužnicí, surrounded by charming South-Bohemian countryside, laid within the natural protected area Třeboňsko, few steps from the Czech-Austrian border in the historical region called in Czech Vitorazsko, in German Weitraer Gebiet, comprising the countryside besides Třeboň region, Novohradské Mountains and Austrian Waldviertel with its capital Weitra.

The area offers lots of possibilities how to spend marvelous vacation. One and only is swimming in emerald waters of surround sandy lakes with lounging on warm sand of its banks, full of adventure is exploring kilometres of trails by your bike. Romantic can be spending time at banks of local hundreds years old ponds or Lužnice river – or just relaxing and strolling or fishing. An exciting experience brings canoeing the Lužnice river. The deep forests are full of various wood fruits and mushrooms, just to pick them up! (Bon appetit!)

There are lots of places of interest, historical monuments and natural attractions in both, nearest and remote surroundings, never mind whether you are on Czech or Austrian side.

In the town Suchdol nad Lužnicí, you have all the public facilities (bus stop, train station, gas station, doctor´s, pharmacy, ATMs, grocery, tobacconist, pubs and a cake shop ) at hand.  

How?

The guests are accommodated in “Mansarda”, independent half of our house with independent entrance from courtyard entry shared with the owner. Mansarda is a maisonnette suite with entrance hall and bathroom with toilette on the ground floor and the living part (kitchen, dinning and living part, bedroom) in a spacious open attic space on the first floor.

Mansarda can accomodate no more than 2 guests, whereas no kids are accepted.

The owners live in the second half of the house – they are at hand in case of need. Speak English, communicates also French and German.
